Rocket Girl, Rocket Girl vs. Tanya Tidy 1: Strange Dust
Ding! Ding! Ding! A woman stood at the front desk of Mountain View Hotel. She was ringing the bell again and again.
A man hurried out. "I'm Mr. Denton, the owner of this hotel. What's the matter, Mrs. Lopez?"
"It's my wedding ring," she said. "I went for a run this morning. When I returned to my room, it was very dusty. And my ring was missing!"
Mr. Denton frowned. "I'm sorry to hear that. But please don't worry. We'll search your room and find your ring."
Just then a young couple approached the desk.
"My laptop is gone!" the woman said.
"My Fit-Think is missing too," her husband said. "There's a thief in this hotel!"
Swoosh! Everyone looked up. Dust was pouring out of vents in the ceiling. It quickly covered everything in the lobby.
"What's happening?" the young woman asked.
"Ah-choo!" Mr. Denton sneezed. "I'm not sure. But, everyone, please follow me to the exit."
"What about my laptop?" the young woman asked.
More guests came into the lobby. They were all complaining about the dust and missing valuables.
Mr. Denton tried to calm everyone down. "My staff and I will find your valuables, I promise. But right now we all need to exit the hotel safely."
He sneezed again. "Ah-choo!" Then he covered his nose and mouth and led everyone outside.

Roxy, Terrell, and Mara arrived at Jack's house. They were going to fly kites in the park.
     Jack let them in.
"Where's your kite, Jack?" Terrell asked.
Jack shrugged. "I know it's in my closet. I just can't find it."
"We'll help you look," Roxy said.
In Jack's bedroom he opened the closet door.
"Whoa!" Terrell said. "That's a big mess!"
Roxy laughed. "I'm not surprised you can't find your kite."
Mara sighed. "It could take us hours to sort through this mess. I'll share my kite with you, Jack."
Terrell shrugged. "It won't take that long. We'll find it. We can even organize your stuff, Jack."
Roxy's watch suddenly beeped. "Oh, um, I have another kite at home. I'll go get it."
Roxy rushed outside. "What's wrong, Mayor Bloom?"
"A dust storm swept through Mountain View Hotel," he said.
"What? A dust storm?" Roxy said. "That's strange."
"Yes, and now there's dust everywhere inside the hotel. But that's not all, Rocket Girl. Some of the guests are missing valuables."
"Hmm," Roxy said. "Sounds like I need to bust the dust—and find a thief!"
