The freeze cloud rushed toward Roxy. She jumped behind a trash can.
"You can't get away from me!" Switch Witch cried. She flew higher and—whoosh! Another freeze cloud blew straight toward Roxy.
Roxy looked around fast and saw a food truck nearby. Steam rose from the food truck's cooking area.
"I know!" Roxy thought. "I'll switch the freeze breath with that warm steam!"
Roxy made the freeze cloud shimmer. When it reached Roxy, it felt like a blast of warm air.
"Yes!" she thought. "I did it!"
"Not bad, Rocket Girl!" Switch Witch yelled. "Try switching this!"
Whiz-hoo! Switch Witch used Roxy's eye laser beams.
Roxy ducked, and the beams missed her. Then she darted around the corner of a building.
"I need to get closer to Switch Witch," Roxy thought. "That's the only way to get my powers back." She peeked out from the side of the building.
On the sidewalk Switch Witch was yelling at more people. "Hand over your wallets and purses—right now!" Soon her sack was full.
"Hmm," Roxy thought. She spotted a truck with big bags of cement mix. "That's it!"
When Switch Witch wasn’t looking, Roxy made the sack shimmer. Then she switched it with a heavy bag of cement mix.
Switch Witch grabbed the sack.
She tried to fly, but the cement pulled her straight down.
"Gah!" Switch Witch shouted. She saw her sack sitting on the bed of a truck. She flew straight toward the truck.
Roxy slipped up behind her. Before the witch spotted her, Roxy made them both shimmer.
"Yes!" Roxy cried as she shot up into the air. "I've got my powers back!"
Switch Witch shook her fist.
Roxy laughed. "Too bad you can only switch something one time. You were right, Switch Witch. Your switch power stinks!"
"Drat!" Switch Witch said.
Soon Roxy was back at school.
"Hey, guys!" Roxy said. "What did I miss?"
"We finally picked a prize," Mara said.
Jack held up a bag. "We got the spooky stickers. I want the ghosts."
"Can I have the monsters?" Mara asked.
"Sure," Jack said. "Terrell, do you want the mummies or the witches?"
"I'll take the mummies," Terrell said.
"That leaves me with the witch stickers." Roxy frowned as she took the last sticker sheet.
"You don't like witches?" Mara asked.
Terrell held up his sticker sheet. "Roxy, do you want to switch?"
Roxy grinned. "Yes!"
