Finally it was time for Comic Fest.
Hope and Dad got out of the car.
Hope grinned at Robot and tapped her hearing aid.
"Mission Meet MechaTron starts now," she whispered.
Robot's lights flashed yellow.
Inside, Hope ran to the MechaTron stage.
Hope and Dad sat down in the front row.
"We're going to see MechaTron!" Robot thought.
The lights went down.
A video of MechaTron played on a big screen.
When the lights went up, everyone cheered.
"MechaTron! MechaTron!"
Then a handsome man walked onstage.
"That's not MechaTron!" Robot thought.
"Hello!" the man said.
"I'm the actor who plays MechaTron on TV!"
Robot blinked. "What?"
The entire room was still cheering.
"Where's the real MechaTron?" Robot thought.
"I want to see the robot!"
Robot looked at Hope.
She was smiling at the actor.
But Robot was frowning. "I didn't expect an actor.
I expected MechaTron!"
The actor grinned and waved.
He joked and laughed with the audience.
He showed them cool stuff from the TV show.
"Maybe it's okay," Robot thought.
"Everyone here loves him.
He can probably still teach me about being cool."
Robot flashed his lights and beeped.
Soon the MechaTron actor started to exit the stage.
Hope grabbed Robot and darted after him.
"Hope, come back!" Dad called.
But Hope was too excited.
She followed the actor out a door.
"Wait, Mr. MechaTron!" Hope said.
"I'm a big fan, and I'm so happy—"
"The event is over, kid." The actor frowned.
"Now is the part where you leave me alone.
Got it?"
