"Crime stinks," Quake Man said. "Plus, people got hurt." He stood up. "I'll return everything and get a real job."
The villain lifted a bag of dog food. It bumped the button on his jackhammer arm.
Brak-ak-ak! Brak-ak-ak! The arm shook. The bag exploded.
"Oof!" Quake Man fell over. He hit the button to turn off the arm. But it didn't work!
"Oh no!"
The jackhammer arm shook the floor. The warehouse started to crumble. Bricks smashed down and blocked the exit.
"Quake Man is trapped!"
Roxy got the last person out of the crack.
"Thanks, Rocket Girl!" he said.
"No problem!" Roxy shot into the air. "Where did Quake Man go?"
Something rumbled in the distance. Using her super hearing, she heard bricks falling. Roxy flew toward the sound.
She gasped. "That warehouse is falling apart!"
Roxy flew inside.
"Help!" Quake Man said. "My jackhammer arm is out of control!"
Roxy tried to grab the arm. Whap! The arm knocked her back.
"Sorry!" Quake Man said.
"Grr!" Roxy pinned the villain to the floor.
"Press the tab near my shoulder!" Quake Man said. "Then I can pull my arm out."
Roxy pressed the tab. Quake Man pulled his arm out. Roxy smashed the jackhammer arm. Smash!
Quake Man sighed. "Thank you."
"You're in big trouble," Roxy said.
Quake Man looked down. "I'm sorry. I wanted to impress my family. They're all villains." He sighed. "But crime is bad, and I'm not good at it. I'm going to return everything."
Roxy smiled. "Good. I'll help you!"
Roxy and Quake Man returned everything. They brought the mattresses to Mattress Mart.
"These mattresses are great," Quake Man said to a customer.
"Do you work here?" the customer asked. "You don't have a name tag."
Quake Man held out his hand. "No, but my name is, um, Mattress Man! And this is the most comfortable kind of mattress. In fact, I was just lying on one today."
"Okay! I'll buy one!" the customer said.
"You're a great salesman," the store owner said. "Do you want a job?"
Quake Man grinned. "Mattress Man would love that!"
Roxy returned to school. Her class was playing basketball.
"Guess what, Roxy," Terrell whispered. "Rocket Girl helped Jack get a new ice cream."
Roxy scratched her head. "How did I do that? I wasn't even here."
Terrell laughed. "He ate yours!"
Roxy laughed. Then she shouted. "Jack! You owe me an ice cream!"
