The Carter Family 77: RV Rules
The Carters were going on vacation in an RV.
"Dad's here with the RV!" Emmy said.
Everyone ran out to the driveway to check it out.
"Are we leaving today?" Oliver asked.
"Not until tomorrow," Dad said.
"We need to practice driving the RV."
"It's much bigger than a car," Mom said.
"It's like a house on wheels!" Emmy said.
The RV had a kitchen and a bathroom.
There were places to eat and sleep.
"I'm hungry." Harry sat at the table.
"Let's eat lunch before we go for a ride."
"You can help me try out the kitchen," Mom said.
Harry and Mom made lunch.
After lunch Mom and Dad sat in the front seats.
The kids buckled up at the table.
"I know the first rule of RV driving," Oliver said.
"Don't hit the mailbox."
Dad carefully pulled out of the driveway.
He didn't hit the mailbox.
But everything flew off the table and the counter.
Dishes, silverware, and pots crashed to the floor.
Soap and sponges flew through the air.
"Stop!" the kids yelled.
Dad stopped the RV, and everyone cleaned up.
Oliver smiled.
"I know the real first rule of RV driving.
Put everything away before you leave!"
