"Where is my ball?" Tom cried.
"Maybe your ball rolled away," Mittens said.
"Let's look for it."
The three kittens walked down the lane.
They walked to the farm.
A pig snorted.
A round yellow thing lay in the pigpen.
Tom gasped. "Is that my ball?"
Mittens looked into the pigpen.
"I'm not sure," she said.
"It might be your ball."
"I'm going in there to get it!" Tom said.
"We'll help!" Moppet and Mittens said.
Tom climbed up the pigpen.
His sisters followed.
The kittens walked along the top of the pigpen.
"Yuck," Mittens said.
"The pigpen is very muddy!"
Moppet looked into the pigpen.
She sighed. "That's not your ball, Tom.
It's a rotten pumpkin."
Suddenly Tom's foot slipped.
"Whoa!" Tom grabbed Mittens.
Mittens started to fall.
She grabbed Moppet.
The three kittens fell into the pigpen.
Splat!
They landed in the mud!
