Zoom! The Rocket Girl clone shot toward Roxy.
Roxy leaped out of the way. She fired her eye laser beams at the clone. Whiz-hoo!
The clone jumped, but it was too slow. Its foot smoked where the laser had hit it.
The clone glanced at its foot and then flew away.
Roxy shot after it.
Roxy's friends were at the lake in Metro City Park. Mara and Jack were looking at a turtle. Terrell looked up.
Zoom! The Rocket Girl clone flew past. Zoom! Roxy flew past, shooting lasers at the clone.
"Whoa! Two Rocket Girls!" cried Terrell.
Mara and Jack looked up. "Where?" asked Mara.
"They're gone now," said Terrell.
Jack and Mara both gave Terrell a funny look.
The Professor Ditto clones were arguing and yelling in the lab.
"It's not my fault Rocket Girl escaped!" said one.
"It was your idea to lock her in that room!" said another. "I wanted to lock her in the—"
Ka-boom! The wall blew apart. The Rocket Girl clone crashed onto the floor.
Roxy flew in after it.
The Professor Dittos looked at the broken Rocket Girl clone. They looked at Roxy.
"Get her!" yelled one.
The professors rushed toward Roxy. Whiz-hoo! Roxy's lasers hit one professor. Smoke came from his ears.
"Which one of you is the real Professor Ditto?" yelled Roxy.
The professors all answered. "I am."
Whiz-hoo! Roxy fired again. The professors jumped out of the way. Roxy's lasers hit the computer. Boom!
Fzzt! Fzzt! All the clones sparked and smoked.
"Oh . . . ," said Roxy. "Without the computer, the clones are breaking down! Soon I'll find out which one is the real Professor Ditto."
One by one, the clones fell over until none were standing.
Roxy was shocked. "Where's the real Professor Ditto?"
A month later the new playground was finished. At the opening ceremony, Roxy looked at the crowd and gasped.
"Mayor Bloom," Roxy whispered. "That's—"
"The real Professor Ditto," said the mayor. "He retired from Metro City University ten years ago. He felt bad that the clones he invented were causing trouble. So he donated money to help build the new playground."
"This playground is awesome!" said Jack.
"I wonder if the two Rocket Girls helped to build it," said Terrell.
Mara laughed. "There's only one Rocket Girl."
"I saw two!" said Terrell, looking annoyed.
Roxy smiled. "I believe you, Terrell."
