Rocket Girl, Rocket Girl vs. Weatherman 2: An Important Clue
In an instant Roxy changed into Rocket Girl.
"It's time to find that art thief!" said Roxy. She blasted up into the sky.
When Roxy arrived at the Metro City Art Gallery, she laughed. Detective Smith was crawling around on the floor.
"Uh, Detective," Roxy asked with a grin. "Aren't you a little old to be playing on the floor?"
Detective Smith frowned as he stood up. "I wasn't playing on the floor," he said. "I was looking at this."
Detective Smith held up a ball about the size of a baseball. It had a small lightning bolt on one side. On the other side was the word "fog."
"Aha!" said Roxy. "That ball belongs to Weatherman!"
"You're right!" said Detective Smith. "He uses Weather Balls to create bad weather. I talked to a witness. She said the art gallery was filled with fog during the robbery."
"Hmm," said Roxy. "So no one could see who was stealing the paintings."
"Exactly!" said Detective Smith. Just then his phone rang.
"Hello?" he said. "Good! Don't lose him!" Detective Smith hung up his phone and looked at Roxy. "Police found Weatherman driving down West Street. They're chasing him now."
Without saying a word, Roxy flew out of the gallery. On West Street three police cars were chasing a black van. Two lightning bolts were painted on the van's sides.
Suddenly a thick fog filled the street. The police lost sight of the van, which darted down an alley.
"More fog, huh?" said Roxy. "That's not a problem for Rocket Girl!"
Roxy took a deep breath and blew as hard as she could. The fog cleared instantly. Now Roxy could see Weatherman's van a few blocks away. She flew after it.
Whiz-hoo! Roxy fired her eye laser beams, burning a hole in the back of the van. The van skidded to a stop, and Weatherman jumped out.
"You ruined the Weather Van!" he yelled. "You're going to pay for that, Rocket Girl!"
Weatherman grabbed a Weather Ball from the back of the van. He threw it into the air.
     "Weather Ball, activate!"
The whole sky grew dark. Clouds moved in. And then—crack! A giant lightning bolt shot down from the sky. And it was headed straight toward Roxy!
