Chuck: Whoa!
Dave: I've got such a headache.
Chuck: I don't see Danny and Brad anywhere.
Dave: Ha! I guess they were too scared to stick around.
Chuck: Wait a minute . . . where are we?
Dave: Yeah, this looks different.
Chuck: I remember there was a flash of lightning.
Dave: That's right. And Danny was pointing that toy gun at us.
Chuck: Do you think the gun actually did something?
Dave: Of course not. It was just a stupid toy.
Chuck: But this grass is really, really tall.
Dave: Maybe . . . maybe the lightning made the grass grow super tall.
Chuck: I don't know, maybe.
Dave: Where did that come from?
Chuck: Hey! What's going on?
Dave: Take cover! I think the falling water has stopped.
Chuck: Something very, very weird is going on.
Dave: Maybe it's just a dream.
Chuck: That must be the explanation, except for one thing.
Dave: What's that?
Chuck: How can we both be having the same dream?
Dave: I don't know how, but it must be a dream. What a great dream!
Chuck: This is so funny.
Dave: We must have fallen asleep in class!
Chuck: That must be it! We're dreaming at our desks.
Dave: The other kids are studying, but we're dreaming about an adventure. This is great!
Chuck: But if we're dreaming . . .
Dave: Yes . . .
Chuck: Then it wouldn't hurt if I pinched you, would it?
Dave: No, it wouldn't.
Chuck: Let's try it.
Dave: Ow! That hurts!
Chuck: Hey! What did you do that for?
Dave: You started it!
Chuck: Wait a second!
Dave: What?
Chuck: Do you know what this means?
Dave: Yeah. It means I'm going to get you!
Chuck: No! It means we're not dreaming!
Dave: So . . . if we're not dreaming . . .
Chuck: Then everything around us is real.
Dave: We are in a strange new land with super tall grass.
Chuck: Yes, everything looks strange. But for some reason, it feels familiar.
Dave: What was that?
Chuck: I wonder if we are in danger.
