Beauty and the Beast 12: A Wrong Turn
Beauty raced through the castle.
Food was splattered all over her dress.
"Running away was a mistake," she thought.
"Beast will be furious!"
Beauty ran toward her room.
But she was in the wrong hallway!
Beauty flew up the stairs.
"Ugh!" she thought. "This castle is so big!
Where is my room?"
Beauty turned another corner, then she saw it.
"Thank goodness!" she thought.
Beauty threw the doors open and ran inside.
But this wasn't her room.
She turned to leave.
But something stopped her.
On one wall was a painting of a handsome prince.
On another wall was a painting of a beautiful queen.
Beauty stared at the faces in the paintings.
"They look so familiar," she whispered.
But then she shook her head.
"I never met a prince or a queen before."
Something else caught her eye.
Under a glass dome lay a red rose.
"How pretty!" Beauty stepped closer. "Oh!"
The rose had lost a few petals.
"Oh no, it's dying," Beauty thought.
"Perhaps it needs some water."
She reached for a pitcher when the doors flew open.
Bam!
Beast stomped inside. Roar!
His eyes were lit with fire.
"I told you to never come in here!"
"I . . . I . . ." Beauty tried to be brave.
"I didn't realize . . ."
Beast beat his chest and roared loudly.
Then his claws popped out.
"How dare you!"
Beauty screamed and ran from the room.
She dashed out of the castle and into the rain.
Thunder and lightning crashed around her.
And still Beauty kept running.
