Magda's giant robot grabbed Roxy and squeezed.
"Let me go!" Roxy tried to break free.
Magda laughed. "Never!"
Whiz-hoo! Roxy fired her eye laser beams. A car flew off the robot's shoulder.
"Yes!" Roxy fired again. Whiz-hoo! The arm broke off and fell to the ground. Roxy quickly wriggled out of the robot's grip.
The robot looked around. It grabbed a huge crane and swung it at Roxy.
Roxy dodged it. Suddenly she noticed a large, round object hanging from the crane.
"That's a magnet," Roxy thought. "I bet it's super strong!"
The robot swung the crane again. Roxy flew into the driver's seat. A button read Magnet. She pressed it. The magnet began to hum.
Shuunk! The robot's foot jerked up. It stuck to the magnet! The robot hopped on the other foot.
"You're stuck!" Roxy laughed.
She flew out of the crane and knocked the robot down. Crash! The robot crumpled.
"Grr!" Magda shouted. She crawled out from under the pile of cars. She raised her arms. The crane stood up and floated in midair.
"Uh-oh." Roxy flew toward Magda.
The villain swung her arms. The crane struck Roxy.
"Ouch!" Roxy landed in a pile of tires.
Just then two cars flew toward Roxy. She ducked under the tires. The cars bounced off them.
Magda made a piece of scrap metal rise.
"Now it's a hoverboard!" She hopped on and zoomed away.
Roxy used her super breath. Whoo-oo-oosh!
The tires rolled after Magda. The villain zigzagged to avoid them. But one tire bounced off an old washing machine. It flew and knocked Magda off her hoverboard.
"Oof!" Magda said.
Roxy flew fast. She grabbed a tire and slipped it over Magda.
"I can't move my arms!" Magda stomped her foot. "This isn't fun anymore!"
"You can have lots of fun in jail," Roxy said. "And trust me—your cell won't have metal bars!"
Roxy returned to Mara's backyard with juice.
Her friends were kicking a soccer ball around.
"What happened to the Mara the Magnificent magic show?" Roxy asked.
"Er . . ." Mara's face turned red. "I just know one trick. And Terrell guessed the secret. I used a magnet to make the coin dance."
"It's still a great trick," Jack said.
Terrell nodded. "Magnets are awesome. You can do so many things with them. Right, Roxy?"
"Um . . ." Roxy gulped. "Does anybody want more juice?"
