Arrows flew toward Roxy.
"Rocket Girl!" Detective Smith shouted. "Get out of the way!"
Roxy puffed out her chest. She squeezed her hands into fists. Crack! The first arrow hit her. It broke in half. A second arrow bounced off her shoulder. More arrows hit Roxy. None harmed her.
"Whoa!" Detective Smith said. "I didn't know you could do that!"
Roxy shrugged. "Nothing can hurt me, Detective!"
"Grr!" Sir Dillard was furious.
Sir Jerry bit his lip. "Um, maybe we should surrender."
"Never!" Sir Dillard said. "Follow me!"
The knights went down.
"Sir Jerry," Sir Dillard said. "Get Rocket Girl and bring her to the dungeon!"
"Um, okay, sir." Sir Jerry slowly walked toward the superhero.
Lady Jane raised an eyebrow. "The dungeon, sir?"
Sir Dillard whispered. "There's a meeting room in the basement. I was thinking we could use it as a dungeon."
"I can hear you!" Roxy said. "You don't have a dungeon! And you're not real knights!"
"You're, um, under arrest," Sir Jerry said.
"No, I'm not!" Orange beams radiated from Roxy's eyes. Sir Jerry's armor began to glow.
"What is she doing?" Sir Dillard thought.
"It's getting warm," Sir Jerry said. "It's—ouch! It's hot!" Sir Jerry ripped off his helmet and armor. "I surrender!"
Lady Jane threw down her sword. "I do too!" She knelt before Roxy. "Please forgive me, Rocket Girl!"
Sir Dillard was furious. His brave knights were surrendering!
"It's okay," Roxy said. "I forgive—oof!" Sir Dillard rode by, striking her with his lance. Roxy tumbled into a stack of steel beams.
Sir Dillard charged again.
Roxy grabbed a steel beam and flew toward him. Bam! The beam knocked Sir Dillard off his horse.
Sir Dillard got up. His armor was dented. "I'll never surrender! I fight for Her Majesty, the—"
"Ahem!" The queen stood behind Sir Dillard.
Sir Dillard bowed his head. "Your Majesty, I—"
"Hand me your sword," the queen said.
Sir Dillard gulped. "But . . . why?"
"Your actions are evil." The queen folded her arms. "So you are no longer a knight!"
The police arrested Sir Dillard.
"Lady Jane," the queen said. "Tell the workers to remove the stones."
Lady Jane bowed her head. "Yes, Your Majesty."
Roxy flew back to Mara's backyard.
"Roxy!" Jack said. "You were right about Sir Dillard. He tried to take over the technology hub!"
Mara nodded. "Luckily Rocket Girl stopped him."
Roxy and Terrell looked at each other and smiled.
