The Superhero Robot 20: A New Comic
Many months passed.
Robot and Hope went on many secret missions.
When Hope was gone, Robot played with Noly.
He was very happy.
But Robot still wondered about Dan Klee.
One afternoon Hope was playing with her new friend, Beth.
Robot watched as they laughed together.
"I'm glad Beth likes robots and comics too," he thought.
"Hope!" Mom called. "The mail is here.
There's something for you."
Hope gasped. "Do you think . . . ?"
"Could it be . . . ?" Beth said.
"What are they talking about?" Robot thought.
The girls ran downstairs.
Robot heard them squealing with delight.
They burst back into the bedroom.
In Hope's hands was a thick envelope.
"It's here!" she said.
Hope and Beth sat on the floor.
Hope was about to open the envelope.
"Oh, wait. I almost forgot," Hope said.
She moved Robot closer. "You have to see this too!"
Hope, Beth, and Robot sat with the envelope.
Hope carefully tore it open.
She pulled out a comic.
On the cover . . . were Robot and Hope!
They were secret agents—and best friends!
"Dan Klee drew you and Robot," Beth said.
"That's the coolest thing ever!"
"Wow!" Robot thought.
"Wait till my other friends see this!"
Later the toys celebrated in the playroom.
"You're a superhero, Robot!" Soldier said.
The toys laughed and played music.
Noly looked at Robot shyly.
"I hope you like parties now."
"Um . . ." Robot's lights glowed bright yellow.
"I think I do."
A fun song started to play.
Robot's foot started to tap.
"Come on, Noly!" he said.
"Let's dance!"
