Everywhere Roxy looked she saw blobs. They oozed on buildings. They covered cars.
"This is terrible!" thought Roxy.
A helicopter flew over Mara. One small blob jumped toward it. But the blob froze and fell to the rooftop.
"Wow!" said Mara. "I think the cold breeze from the helicopter froze that blob!"
Mara looked at Roxy. "Rocket Girl!" she called. "Use your super breath! It will freeze the blobs!"
"I'll try it!" Roxy called back.
Roxy took a deep breath. Whoosh! Three blobs on a billboard froze and fell to the street.
"Yes!" Roxy cheered. She took a deeper breath and blew again.
Whoo-ooo-oosh! More blobs froze. Soon every blob was frozen solid.
Mrs. Wiggles was in her candy factory.
"Soon I'll call Mayor Bloom," she said. "I'll tell him to pay me one million dollars!"
Mrs. Wiggles peered through a telescope at downtown Metro City.
"Oh no!" she cried. "Where did my bubble gum blob go?"
Just then Roxy crashed into the candy factory.
"Rocket Girl!" said Mrs. Wiggles.
"I stopped your bubble gum blob!" said Roxy. "And now you're going to jail!"
Mrs. Wiggles snapped her fingers. Several large gingerbread men ran into the room.
Mrs. Wiggles laughed. "You'll never take me to jail!"
Roxy looked at the gingerbread men. They were big and mean looking.
"I'll be right back," said Roxy. "I forgot something."
Roxy flew out of the building.
Mrs. Wiggles laughed. "Rocket Girl is scared of—"
Splat! A small blob hit a gingerbread man. The gingerbread man smashed into pieces.
"What's going on?" Mrs. Wiggles cried.
Splat! Splat! Splat! Roxy threw blobs at every gingerbread man. Soon all the gingerbread men were smashed.
"No!" cried Mrs. Wiggles.
Roxy took Mrs. Wiggles to jail. Then she flew back to Mara.
"Thanks for your help," said Roxy.
"My friends are at Metro City Park," said Mara. "Can you take me there?"
Roxy smiled. "Sure. Rocket Girl can do that!"
A little while later, Roxy was out of her Rocket Girl costume. She found her friends at the park.
"Hey, Roxy!" called Terrell."Mara is here! Guess who found her."
"Who?" asked Roxy.
"Rocket Girl!" said Mara. "She saved me from a giant bubble gum blob!"
"Wow," said Roxy. "I can't believe I missed Rocket Girl."
Terrell gave Roxy a suspicious look.
"Let's play kickball!" said Jack.
Roxy and her friends ran onto the field.
