The train zoomed past Ralph.
"Phew! He didn't see us," Bumble whispered.
The train entered a dark tunnel.
"Let's hide in here!" Sprite said.
The fairies hopped off the train.
It roared away.
Feather looked nervous.
"What if Ralph sees that we're gone?"
"There are lots of new figures," Hob said.
"I don't think he'll miss us."
Just then the tracks shook.
There was a loud roar.
"Another train!" Sprite cried.
"Get off the tracks!"
Sprite, Hob, and Bumble flew to the side.
"Hurry, Feather!" Bumble said. "A train is coming!"
"My boots are stuck in the track!" Feather said.
"I can't pull my feet out!"
The fairies held Feather's hands and pulled.
"She's still stuck!" Bumble cried.
"Pull harder!" Hob cried.
The train got louder.
Finally—pop!
Feather's feet came out of the boots.
The fairies flew off the track.
The train roared through the tunnel.
Bumble started to cry. "That train almost hit us!"
Sprite patted him. "We're okay, Bumble.
But it was scary!"
"Really scary," Bumble said.
"I'm sorry!" Feather said. "It was all my fault!"
Hob nodded. "Yup!"
Soon Ralph turned off the train set and left.
"Let's get out of here," Feather said.
"Wait!" Hob said.
He pulled Feather's boots from the track.
"Here, Feather."
Feather wiped away a tear. "Thanks, Hob."
Everyone flew back to Fairy Grove.
The next morning it was raining again.
Bumble splashed in mud puddles.
Hob and Sprite played a board game.
Feather sat on a branch with an umbrella.
Rain dripped onto her feet.
"Where are your rainboots?" Bumble called.
Feather pointed to the boots.
They were filled with bright yellow flowers.
"I used them for flowerpots," she said.
"Being pretty is not as good as being safe!"
