Roxy glared at Boulder Bill. "This fight isn't over!"
She flew back down the mountain. Smoke and flames filled the forest.
"I'll use my freeze breath." Roxy got ready . . .
"Help!" someone cried.
"Oh no!" Roxy said. "There are people in the forest! My freeze breath will freeze them!"
Roxy flew into the burning forest. She heard more people. A sign read Grand Peak Campground.
Roxy gulped. "There must be a lot of campers trapped in this forest fire!"
She found one family.
"Rocket Girl!" a boy cheered.
"Everyone, grab hands!" Roxy took the mom's hand. She flew them out of the forest. She saved a few more families. Then she went back for the last one.
"Help us, Rocket Girl!" a man shouted.
Roxy saw him peeking out of a tent. Crack! A burning tree fell. It was going to land on the tent!
Suddenly a huge monster appeared from the smoke.
"Oh no!" Roxy cried. "It's Boulder Bill!"
Bill leaned over the tent and blocked the tree. It broke over his back. He grabbed the people and ran fast.
"What are you doing?" Roxy asked.
"I'm helping!" Bill said.
Now everyone was safe. Roxy blew her freeze breath. The flames quickly died down. Smoke drifted from the burnt trees.
"The fire is out!" a woman said. "Thanks to Rocket Girl!"
"And Boulder Bill!" a boy said. "He's a hero too!"
Boulder Bill looked surprised. Then he turned to Roxy. "I'm sorry I fought you. I was just mad that I didn't reach the summit of Grand Peak."
Roxy grinned. "You reached the summit during our fight."
Boulder Bill chuckled. "Oh yeah!"
An army helicopter landed nearby. Dr. Chen stepped out.
"Hey, Dr. Chen," Roxy said.
"Hi, Rocket Girl," Dr. Chen said. Then she looked at Bill. She held up a device. It beeped.
"That's just what I expected," Dr. Chen said. "You were infected with a mysterious energy. It's the same energy that came from the geyser a while ago."
Bill scratched his head. "I picked up a glowing rock on Grand Peak yesterday. The next thing I knew, I was like this!"
Dr. Chen smiled. "I can cure you."
Bill tapped his chin. "No thanks. I want to stay this way and live in the park. I'll help people here."
Roxy gave him a funny look. "Really?"
Boulder Bill looked at the campers and nodded. "Yep! Yesterday I was just Bill. But now I'm Boulder Bill—a hero!"
