Rocket Girl, Rocket Girl vs. Kid Comet 2: The Thief
"I have to get to Planet Delkor Space Base," Cozlin thought. "Someone stole a power crystal!"
Power crystals were very important on Delkor. Vehicles, spaceships, and homes ran on power crystals. But it didn't make sense. Everyone got power crystals for free. Why would someone steal one?
Cozlin peeked into her classroom. "I'll be right back, Mr. Jex. Principal Plip needs me to help him with, um, something."
Mr. Jex was still grading tests. "That's fine."
Cozlin ran outside and shot into the sky.
"Look!" Mert said. "It's Kid Comet!"
The students ran to the window.
     "Woo-hoo!"
     "Go, Kid Comet!"
Cozlin arrived at Planet Delkor Space Base. She found Detective Borzon. He was the lead detective on Delkor. He was talking to a spaceship pilot.
"Hey, Detective," Cozlin said. "You can't take flying lessons now. We have a crime to solve."
Detective Borzon groaned. "Very funny, Kid Comet. I'm talking to a witness. This is Quazz. He saw the crystal thief."
"I still don't understand," Cozlin said. "Why would someone on Delkor steal a free power crystal?"
Detective Borzon shrugged. "Maybe the thief wants more power."
"The thief isn't from Delkor," Quazz said. "The thief is an alien."
Detective Borzon's eyes went wide. "What?"
"I was on a mission to find a missing satellite," Quazz said. "I found it—after it crashed into a space station. It wasn't a Delkor space station though. It was an alien space station!"
He turned on a computer. "Watch this. It's a video I took from my spaceship."
Cozlin and the detective saw the space station and broken satellite pieces. One piece sparkled.
"That's the satellite's power crystal," Cozlin said.
     "Yes. Keep watching," Quazz said.
     An alien appeared.
     "Whoa!" Cozlin said.
The alien grabbed the crystal. Then he went back into the space station.
Detective Borzon made a fist. "No wonder you called us. This is a serious crime!"
     Quazz nodded.
"Don't worry," Cozlin said. "I'll find that space station—and our crystal!" She shot into the sky.
     "Wait!" Quazz cried. "Come back!"
Cozlin flew back down. "What's wrong?"
"The crystal isn't on that space station anymore," Quazz said.
"How do you know?" Cozlin asked.
"Every power crystal has a tracking device," Quazz said. He opened another program on his computer. "The crystal left the space station earlier today. Let's see where it is now."
He gulped. "The crystal is on an alien planet!"
