Roxy couldn't see anything in the blinding light as she flew down and landed.
A kind old woman greeted her.
"My name is Rocket Girl," Roxy said. "I'm looking for the bodhisattva Guanyin. Someone told me she lives on Mount Potalaka in the South Sea."
The woman nodded. "Yes, the bodhisattva lives there."
"I flew all over the South Sea, but I didn't see the mountain," Roxy said.
"You're not a spirit, so you can't travel to Mount Potalaka," the woman said. "But that's okay. I know why you're here."
"You do?" Roxy said, surprised.
"Yes," the woman said. "I also know that your real name is Roxy."
Roxy gasped.
"Don't worry, I will protect your secret," the woman said.
Bright light flashed, and the woman disappeared. Then Roxy was back up in the sky, and a bird spirit appeared next to her.
"I am Swift Wing, and I can open the portal for you," the spirit said. "Come!"
Roxy quickly caught up to the spirit. "Who was that woman?"
"She is the bodhisattva Guanyin," Swift Wing said. "You're not a spirit, so you can't see her in her true form."
Roxy and Swift Wing soared through the air and found the Tang Monk and Wujing.
The Tang Monk gasped. "Swift Wing! You look like a kind spirit now."
Swift Wing spread her wings. "The bodhisattva Guanyin is teaching me to be good. I'm not evil anymore, and I feel much happier."
Swift Wing recited a spell. Zoomp! The portal opened.
"This is great!" Wukong said. "I've missed ruling over a kingdom."
A large platform sat outside, in front of City Hall. In the center of the platform, Wukong sat on a magnificent throne. Monkeys and apes stood behind him, and Bajie was next to him.
"I agree, Wukong," Bajie said proudly. "This is much more fun than traveling to the west."
A crowd of people had gathered in the street. Mayor Bloom was there. Terrell, Jack, and Mara were in the crowd too.
"All hail Sun Wukong!" a gorilla shouted. The monkeys and apes cheered. "King of the Fruit and Flower Mountain!" the gorilla cried.
The monkeys and apes cheered again.
"King of Metro City!" the gorilla cried.
The monkeys and apes cheered even more loudly as the gorilla shouted, "Everyone, bow before your new king!"
All the people bowed. Many looked nervous.
"I don't like Sun Wukong or the pig anymore," Jack whispered.
Terrell nodded. "I wish Rocket Girl was here to stop them."
"Who brought gifts for the Monkey King?" the gorilla asked.
One by one, citizens stepped forward. Mara, Terrell, and Jack watched as people placed gifts in front of Wukong.
A man from True Savings Bank presented sacks of money. A jewelry store owner handed over a diamond necklace. A baker brought cookies, muffins, and a large cake. The owner of Metro City Pizza walked up with several pizzas.
Bajie's mouth watered. "Yum!"
The gorilla cleared his throat. "All hail the—"
"Sun Wukong stinks!" someone shouted.
Everyone gasped.
Mara pointed. "Rocket Girl!"
Roxy floated over the crowd. "You're not our king, Wukong!"
